Autologous (Flap) Reconstruction

Autologous (Flap) Reconstruction

The Autologous Reconstruction employs tissue from the patient’s own body to rebuild the breast mound. These “flaps” are taken from either the back (Latissimus Flap) or tummy (TRAM Flap) and moved to the breast while preserving the original blood supply vessels. Autologous reconstructions may be performed on either an immediate or delayed basis.
