Consultation

The Consultation:

Because we always put safety first, Dr. Sullivan begins every consultation by discussing your overall health and well-being.

Our next considerations are:

-          Your goals for the outcome of the surgery. Dr. Sullivan our Annapolis Plastic Surgery expert will work with you to determine that your expectations for your post-surgery are realistic and attainable.

-          Are you hoping to lose a significant amount of weight either before or after surgery?

-          Do you need to have Pre-Operative testing such as blood work, EKG, mammogram or clearance from your Primary Care physician?

Dr. Sullivan will listen to all of your concerns and answer all of you questions regarding your surgery. You will be able to look at additional pictures from some of our previous patients results. Dr. Sullivan and her staff are available to help you through the process of your surgery every step of the way.

Why We Charge a Consultation Fee

Our consultation fee is $100 (applicable towards your surgical procedure) for cosmetic patients and $200 for reconstructive patients submitting to insurance. Here is why we charge a consultation fee and why a “free consultation” is not necessarily in your best interest.

We believe that in consulting with a professional – as with all things in life – “you get what you pay for.”

Unfortunately, too often, a “free consultation” for cosmetic surgery turns into nothing but a high-pressured sales pitch.

Rather, a professional consultation should be a learning experience, an educational opportunity for you and not a “sales closing.” It should function solely for your benefit and to your advantage. Dr Sullivan spends time with her patients listening and understanding their desires. She believes that a patient should not be pressured in making a very important & personal decision. Simply put, you will feel at home in her office. The purpose of the consultation is for you to learn & to determine if it is the right thing for you to do. Through the process of listening to you, understanding your desires and conducting an examination, an appropriate recommendation will be made. That recommendation might even be that nothing be done.

The Purpose Of The Consultation Is For You To Learn & Make An Educated Decision On What Is Best For You.
